I feel so bad for Hina, but as Taiki said, their relationship as it is, was not healthy. She can't go on loving him not wanting a reply to her confession, only wanting the answer of him falling in love with her. Even if his love for Chinatsu fell through, that doesn't mean he would fall for her. What would she do if he fell for someone else? Would she wait the rest of her life waiting for him to eventually fall for her? No, she needed this closure, she needed to hear that it can't work. He may have had his feelings for her change, but he doesn't love or like her that way. Even his point about the fear of trying for a relationship with Chinatsu with their current relationship potentially swaying him. It hurts, but she needed this, so did Taiki as it gets it straight in his own mind aswell. Frankly it was a beautifully written moment. And my days, the voice actor for Hina did an impeccable job, those cries and sobs at the end were so raw and emotive, it felt as though the actor themselves had actually just been rejected in that way, it was so incredibly well done.

I really approve of Taiki's decisiveness here. Even though him rejecting Hina is heartbreaking, he cannot simply throw away his feelings for someone else just for her. And the thing is, Chinatsu hadnt even said anything regarding whether or not she also liked Taiki, so she couldnt really say that Chinatsu doesnt feel the same way about Taiki, not yet. If Taiki just simply agreed to go out with Hina, it would also go against his entire character as a whole. This entire plot is here to show Taiki's determination in romance and his passion for badminton.

He is a real man because he did not deceive her, take advantage of her badly, play with her feelings and then leave her. He told her the truth even if it hurts because someone who loves you and wishes you well will always be honest with you even if the truth is painful and shocking. I really liked this episode because it is very realistic and because the opposite is happening now in our world full of deception.

Its hard but he did the right thing he loves someone else they had to have this talk at some point i feel for hina it must feel awful but if he didnt tell her seriously like this she would of thought there was hope sometimes being a little harsh is better in the long run poor hina though i hope she meets someone better then him for her own sake
