My late uncle once told me about a time long ago when he attended a Carl Cox concert here in Cape Town back in 1997, The Cape town Underground Rave scene was at its peak. According to him, it was extraordinary— the great music and the insane setup, but the thing he will remember the most from that night was, At the entrance, everyone received a forearm-sized stamp in bold, fat ink letters that read: "BIG BLACK COX." Now that is a DJ with character! I still hope to see him live someday. Thank you, Mr. Cox—you truly deserve your spot in the Pantheon of Dance DJ Legends. L&L
