3:02 If he had more time to think, the Protagonist would have realized there was no reason to hand over the box. Sator is moving backwards in time, so he's actually counting up from one, meaning he's already done whatever he was gonna do. Meanwhile Kat is moving forward in time, which she couldn't be if Sator had killed her a moment ago, where he's heading on his reversed timeline. So she's guaranteed to live whether you hand it over or not. Sator successfully tricked him by the pure confusion of time travel.
That reverse tyre screech at 2:10 is really unnerving. Such a well done scene.
This was the best movie of next year
01:57 the theatre lost their mind at this scene in disbelief. The BGM is shocking.
The soundtrack in this movie is out of this world 🙌
The movie is 2:30 hours long. This scene, where they reverse in time, happens at 1:15 hours. This movie is a huge palyndrome itself. Genius
Played in slowmo you can see him holding the piece underneath the case. Love that attention to detail 😊😊
I can't get over this scene and the way it made me feel the first time I saw it. - First you know you follow a protagonist dealing with an unknown hostile force able to reverse the flow of time. - Then in a tense moment, your partner saying about a monitoring of the radio communications of the area it's talking backwards, and you know it means trouble incoming. - And finally you see a car coming at you then chasing you backwards. I can't imagine what went through the protagonist's head. Personnally I expected absolutely anything to come out of this reverse Audi and was on the absolute edge of my seat.
This is the kind of movie where it's terrible/confusing on first watch. After the tenth rewatch, I just become obsessed with it.
4:47 - Lol this is great physical acting from Washington. That look on his face is pure gold here. He doesn't know if he's going to make it but there's no time left he just has to go for it and hope it works out.
Haha, I love that Neil is wearing a tie for this whole caper. God bless Nolan and his well-dressed sensibilities.
That part noticing the mirror is brilliant. Not knowing wtf is going to happen but knowing something will....
Ludwig Göransson really did a incredible job with the soundtrack.
Soundtrack in Nolan's movie is just astounding and mind-blowing
Notice how sator knew he was inverted so he held up 3 fingers from 1 to 3. Because to TP and Neil's perspective it would be counting down as oppose to Sator's counting up
The important part is 3:34: TP throws an empty orange suitcase, the algorithm part remains in his hands, he will throw that to his "inverted self" in the silver Saab. Later on TP will lie about it, when he tells Sator he left it in the BMW. However, Sator saw the hand-off and will later get to the crashed Saab, retrieving the algorithm.
Neil was sooooo locked in during this scene.
I like how this scene generates suspense. Its in reverse, so in a sense its already happened - so you are running away from a car that will always catch you if the domino's have been pre-aligned to do so. Its like you are running away from the inevitable.
FUN FACT- FOR SHOOTING THE CAR CHASE SEEN ANDREI SATOR'S AUDI WAS ACTUALLY GOING FORWARD WHILE OTHER CARS WERE GOING BACKWARDS INCLUDING THE PROTAGONIST'S BMW..... WELL THIS WAS DONE FOR THE AUDI TO LOOK INVERTED AFTER THE EDITING WAS DONE. I STILL CAN'T BELEIVE HOW PERFECTLY AND SMOOTHLY IT WAS DONE.
