This was an excellent realistic story. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in my early sixties. My meds are working. I raised a son who was very much like Tim.
He is 37 now grew up with rage mood swings. His answer to cope with life is to work and travel. Nature is his medication.
Thanks for uploading this.

I sooo get this. I was a straight A student. A geek. And I struggled with anxiety and depression. Which was exacerbated by abuse in my home. Constantly breaking out in tears. My mom was beside herself trying to fix it. And I loathed myself. Finally at age 25 I got some therapy and it made a world of difference.

My son is 23 now and this is dredging up so much hurt and so many memories of the lack of support and the blame on me. The pain of going thru this with my son, it was awful. The loneliness. I said if a kid has cancer people run to help, when it was mental health, people ran away. 😢

This is a great movie! I have a younger brother who suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. This movie really put some light on the subject of mental disorders in children. This shows how it can be treated. But only if you can afford all it really costs to get the help. This family was fortunate. Although the illness shows up similar. We couldn’t afford the fancy doctors and institutions. So my mom did everything she could. Until he aged out (18), and the judicial system got involved. It’s cheaper to put them in prison instead of giving mental help. So he’s spent the majority of his teen and adult years in and out of jail. That’s how Amerikkka deals with mental illness (especially in some ethnic groups)! It was cool to see it put in a movie/message that is easy to understand. I give the movie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

My eldest son and my X husband are Bi Polar , my son is doing well and on right meds , very happy camper , my X is Bi Polar Manic we were married for 5 years , later divorced , it's also so Scarry and sad to watch your loved ones feel Helpless and you can't do anything about it , until they want / need help 😢😢😢
Mental Health is a Serious Disease and Not Your Fault , God Bless All those suffering from M.H. and Peace , love and Strength to go forward ❤❤❤

More than just a "Great Movie" What an AMAZING family, the toughest thing in life is that regardless of the issues they stuck together and together got through it. I'm sure the movie wasn't even close to the strength it took and developed from what they endured ❤

Many times we think we have problems till we watch families having real problems, let's all pray for all the kids out there and their families and friends so God help them in in situations. “Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever.
Amen”

Praise God for husband's who are present for their family (Ephesians 5:25-31). In most cases, the husband's are the 1st ones to bail out in such situations

@Patti-o5s

Wonderful ending!  Deeply moving movie.
God bless us all who have Bipolar Disorder, and our loved ones who may deal with its complications.

@jeannelederman8992

This is an amazing movie. I have four sons and wish I had seen this 40 years ago. Now I have 3 sons. 💔 Broken heart forever.

@SharonEHaag

This movie is true to life when parents stay together. It is more of a catastrophe when one parent does not communicate other than exploding and blaming on the other.

@allanharman2581

My oldest brother had bipolar my second oldest died of leukaemia my third oldest couldn’t handle being gay and my father died of a massive heart attack. I saw my parents and my brothers hurting. I was the youngest and hid or left the house if I could. The movie was hard to watch because it resonated so much. Some truths are difficult to deal with. After everything is said and done I have an incredible amount of empathy of which I am proud as hell about since it was so hard won. My oldest and I have a really great relationship. He is married to a great lady who also has bipolar disorder and they keep each other sane.

What a well done movie on a difficult subject…I was an emotional roller coaster thru the entire movie, plus the flood of tears…

@amandaowens2016

We can't fix or understand a problem/ illness until we admit that we have one. Excellent movie, and thank you for telling your story in order to help others ❤

@annharrison6696

A very hard watch if you are a mother . Ultimately she had no choice excellent at raising awareness that children are not born bad Superb actors all xx What a roller coaster ride

@viscache1

The ability to see what is broken in your own child can be impossible because of the brilliantly blinding love that we have for them. sometimes everything can be perfect and yet not be enough. And sometimes we’re just too close to see the looming giants in our own life.

@user-pq1bg3mq3l

Excellent movie! God bless all the parents who really care for their children!

@torrifleming9891

This being based on a True Story, I’m glad to see this family had a good outcome.

@PaulaCepeda-z3z

This movie is amazing. I have two kids with mental illness as a single young mother it’s a lot to deal with
