@CheetahLynx

As a Habs fan I can confirm, The Pezz Dispenser absolutely is his nickname!

@Oxidize

Me and Pezzetta had the same amount of points last season

@pyrofania

Habs fan here,
Pezzeta is going to give it all on the ice,
He was on the taxi squad most of the year, never complaint, was happy to be chilling with the boys, good teammate.
That is the essence of canadian heart at hockeyđź’Ť

@DrewDekes

“Give Pezz a Chance”

You’re welcome.

@nrabinov

Pezz is a character, just search his one and only shootout goal - it is a beauty in which he channels Tiger Williams! This Habs fan wishes him nothing but the best in Toronto!

@johanjonsson3591

Fun fact. He will have more impact in a game-7 than Marner even did.

@mikekennedy9383

As a Habs fan, Steve, I think you nailed this. Pezz is a quality guy. You'll get 100% effort from him every shift, even if he's been in the press box for the last 5 games. He will finish every check hard - but clean. And If someone objects or takes liberties with your players, he'll tackle anyone despite not being one of the true heavy weights in the league. He's also an intelligent guy with a great attitude. A real team-first guy who brings a lot of energy with very little drama when he gets the opportunity to play. If he can crack the Leafs line up, I think Leafs fans will warm to him pretty quickly. I'm glad he was able to stay in the bigs.

@TheCrazyCanuck420

Best mullet in Montreal since the 80s.

@darcybarnes6970

As a Hab fan Sad 2 see Pezz go! He will give 1000%, Fight anybody and is so pumped when he gets a goal! Good Luck in Toronto Mike.

@dcmuise5924

The fact that Florida has done what they’ve done and Vegas before them to win the past 3 cups and people wonder why players like pez are needed is astonishing. The leafs are preparing for 2 different sports, season and playoffs

@timm4922

Habs fan here: Know one will ever say he doesn't give 100% and shows more character than a lot of the "passengers" on the Leafs,( Matthews' words, not mine) and he's entertaining and a total team guy. Fans will love watching him play those 6 min a game.

@alexandretaillon4683

As a Habs fan, the only thing I hate about this signing is that he signed with the Leafs... But seriously, even though he played 20 something games last season, he was still a fan favorite in Montreal. Hate to see him go, but that is the nature of the business. I wish him success with the Leafs and I think Toronto really needed the grit he will bring to your organization.

@davidgendron6955

For the AHL or 13th forward at best, Dept forward in case of injuries.

@20thCenturyManTrad

Love Pezzetta, for that contract, he's just a fun guy to have on the roster with more wheels than Reevo.

@Rob78169

Love the signing. Watched him for years playing for the Sudbury Wolves.

@Plumcraziness

I like how people complaining about this signing are acting like this is some CRUCIAL player, and that even if he completely tanks, that his contract is somehow immovable or something. lol My dudes...they're paying him the league minimum. Calm down, take a deep breath and take your meds.

Sure, his zero points last season is a bit perplexing, but to pay the league minimum salary for a still-youthful physical player with grit, who isn't afraid to be a disruptor on the ice is always a good signing. Add to that, he's from Toronto and he'll want to play like it, so there could be a slight bit of upside. My guess is if he manages to get the playing time, he'll match or slightly exceed his career highs. I'd like to see 15-20 points from him. Overall, no complaints for that kind of money. 👍

@robocock475

Got this guy to protect Stolarz 👌

@russell7995

Gonna miss the Pez and his heart and energy. Good on the Leafs for grabbing him!

@david_st-cyr

Everybody who commented here already mentioned Pezzetta`s qualities, and they are all very true. But, as an Habs fan, let me share with you the big reason why he only played 25 games last season despite the injuries to other Habs players: he only has one side to his game. In today`s hockey, tough physical players also need to be able to play other roles, like being a shut-out player, a penalty killer or bring some offense to a 3rd or 4th line. Like Steve mentioned, Pezzetta brings none of these to his team. Yes, he hits, yes, he will fight (and often loose) to anyone bothering his teamates, but that is it. Good talented players will fly right by him and own him, he does not have notable offensive skills and he never played on Montreal`s PK. Worst, he got into the habit of getting called for bad penalties last season when he was on the ice, putting his team in trouble.

But, like everyone else mentioned, he is a good guy and a good teamate. I trully wish him the best of luck in Toronto and hope that he does find his usefullness there.

@frederickmb2270

Pezzetta is so nice to have, great teammate with great work ethics. Caps as a 13th-14th forward, but he's great in that role
