Since everywhere was closed thanks to COVID, we started going out camping with the whole family to not lose our sanity sitting at home. That's why we got the Weber Smokey Mountain smoker. I wasn't expecting much from it to be honest, however it's simply great! We got the 14'' version so that it was easily portable, it's big enough, to be honest. I would probably buy a bigger smoker (or get the 18'' or 22'') if I got this for my backyard but since I got this for picnics, it works as it should! I can easily cook for 2 to 4 people with this, 14'' is not big enough for more than 4 people. All in all, I love this! Highly recommend it!

If you don't want to break the bank and have the easiest smoking experience, get the Masterbuilt Smoke Hollow electric smoker right now! This was by the far the easiest smoking I've ever done, and for such a small price tag too. The only issue we had was that it was a bit difficult to use in winter, and the temperature gauge was off in winter too but these issues are expected from an electric smoker. Overall, great budget pick and a great entry-level smoker!

Got the Weber Smokey Mountain grill for tailgating. Like everybody else, I have to say this is a fantastic smoker, I made Texas-style brisket, pork butts, chicken breast, salmon, and all sorts in this and they were all just so juicy, I can't even describe it. A couple of minor annoyances: The lid should have been attached to the grill with a hinge or something because when I'm dealing with meat there is nowhere to store the lid. The second minor annoyance was the door. You should replace it with the Cajun Bandit stainless steel door for it to be sealed completely. With small mods, this is the perfect smoker for tailgating, hands down!

The Dyna-Glo is a great cooker that can be made into an even better cooker with a couple of simple mods. Firstly, you might have some leaks which are normal at this price range. Sealing up those leaks will make you use a lot less fuel (either charcoal or wood) and overall get the meat evenly cooked. Seal the places for leaks with the LavaLock gasket. Also, use high temperature RTV (prepare to use at least two tubes of this stuff). Maybe change the door with an aftermarket one as well. Once you made these changes, this'll become the perfect smoker for the price. You'll just have to tinker a little bit.

The Char-Griller 06620 Kamado is a perfect grill and an alright smoker. If you're new to smoking and looking for a versatile option that can do both grilling and smoking, this is the way to go. Let me explain why I think this is an alright smoker. Firstly, the temperature gauge is not accurate, so if you're going to rely on that, well, good luck! Secondly, the dampers do not seal exactly, so for long smokes you're always going to have leaks and will always add more charcoal or wood than you would normally have to. Now I'm not saying smoking is not possible, it is entirely possible and if you're still unsure about committing for a decent smoker (which can be well over $500!) this is a very good compromise. Just know that this is not a dedicated smoker but a really fine hybrid tool!

@safeereaza8250

I'm new to smoking, so like an idiot, I did not fire the Dyna-Glo Wide Body up empty as suggested by the manufacturer. Needless to say, that was a waste of a good amount of meat! If you're new to this stuff, read the instructions first! You have to get rid of the manufacturing oils before you actually smoke stuff with these!

@gelovlogs8949

I had propane and charcoal grills in the past. After using the Z-Grills ZPG-450A I can safely say never again! It's so much easier to smoke stuff with this bad boy, just fill up on pellets and plug it in! I know real smokers are going to call me a sissy and call this not real BBQ'in, but if you just want practicality and having a decent BBQ party for 6-7 people without being covered in charcoal smoke, get the Z-Grills!

@pcj2111

Hi! Sorry if this is a stupid question but can I use electric smokers inside? Not charcoal ones, the electric ones. Do they produce a lot of smoke like the charcoal ones?

@marcoruiz4891

I'm new to all of this stuff about smokers, so I had a question for the Char-Griller Kamado smoker. Do I use normal everyday charcoal for this?

@FatehGiaan

How portable is the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker?

@marklarsen760

Does the Z Grills ZPG already come assembled or not?
