3 and 2 bit audio seriously need to do a music sideproject together. That was heavy
all discussions ended with one video 😂
24 bits Is really amazing
I'll have to put headphones on when I get home... But on my one JBL Flip 5 speaker we're listening to it on, nobody can tell the difference until it gets below 6-7 bit because of the white noise. I was randomly moving the "needle" around, and playing it all over the place, and nobody could tell where it was until the white noise was present. I'm sure with studio headphones it would be a little more apparent, but not on your average speaker system. Very interesting test !!!! Thanks !!!! :-)
7 bits before any noticeable noise on planar dynamics and a decent DAC.
The difference between 24 all the way down to like 4 is the loudness of the quantization noise, that's it. You cannot hear the quantization noise at 16 bits, period. 24 sounds the same as 16 to the human ear, it's been categorically proven over and over again. If you think 24 bits sounds better it is a placebo and nothing more.
definitely interesting 👍

On 21bit I hear that bass line getting less dynamic On 16bit bass line almost loses tone clarity On 9bit bass line sounds like monotone humming 5bit - bass completely lost Headphones Hifiman Ananda V3 DAC-amp Hifiman Serenade Jr
0:49 almost like a dubstep drop part
After watching the video, I really wonder if the whole 24-bit audio hype has any practical sense at all, or is it just a marketing gimmick? Even back then, the SACD did not catch on because it was quickly revealed that nobody needs frequencies over 20kHz.
Ok, my casual listener ear could barely notice the difference around the bass frequency between 24 and 8 bit. It's so subtle and hard to explain, so I guess 8 bit is completely fine for daily listening.
It’s double treble Upto 5 bits clear sound🎉🎉🎉
Holy Cheesus Petrucci does the sub bass hit hard as shit on sennheiser HD 599s, i absolutely need to know what this track is because it will be my new bass test track.
PSA, 24 to 16 bit is YouTube's default settings. If you upload a video with Audio higher than 24 Bit, it will be downscaled to 24 Bit
One-bit digital audio coding for people who have high-end audio equipment and high requirements for sound quality. 24-bit digital audio coding for most people. 16-bit or shorter coding for people who don't have special demands for sound quality.
YouTube doesn't have the standards to meet this audio quality!!!!
Ah so my airplane pilot is using 2 bit
Irrespective of YouTube and what it does to files; HiRes is completely unnecessary; 16 bit Red Book CD is perfectly good. The quality of the recording and mastering has a MUCH greater influence on the sound than bit-depth.
