2 mental shifts that might help you 1) compare items, not kills or cs (How many full items, half items, what items) 2) help winning lane, not losing lane. Winning lane snowballs, compounds. Helping a losing lane usually leads to getting further behind or neutral
Love the League content!
Bro is learning. Makes the climb interesting.
Small tip from a Diana main, after using your Q hitting the caster minions, if the enemy walks into minion caster range,Use your E into the Minions so your E resets and then combo with your W Q E so you get a strong combo if not an all in.
Man you can tell Xar is gonna be a good league player. He already aware of so many things that silver players aren’t. As soon as he starts getting more matchup and champion knowledge he could be very good
26:00 lmaooo the W in all chat 😂😂
#1 thing to getting better is “controlled intentional practice of fundamentals.” There are thousands of people in silver/gold who have put in as many hours as you may have in Wow; but because they are just mindlessly queing, they get stuck in their bad habits and don’t improve.
You can give up some CS to survive. You will have to sometime. You can only try to fight a fed Nasus when his ultimate is on cooldown. You're not going to be a fed Nasus while he's in his ult. The Baron steal was absolute horror to watch. You guys made a lot of good plays. Keep going!
Some tips from me if you're interested Xaryu. - Your ward timing 2:30 & 4:00 that you were coached to do are great, however I would just like to point out that the point of those wards is primarily to protect you from the enemy jungler. At the 4 min mark you can clearly see Graves in the top lane ganking, I would hold my ward until I lose sight of him again and then put it in the top side bush instead of the bottom like you did. Your ward would make sense if bot lane pinged missing or you can't see the enemy support and think you're likely to get ganked from bottom side. - Your pathing needs improvement (obviously you're new to the game), multiple times you just walk in a straight line towards where you want to go. It's easy to read and the enemy swain can hit you with his skill shots. Feel free to walk and then turn back the other way or side-to-side (juke) or walk around an obstacle the "safer" way. You were ahead in this game (Well played) but if you are behind it will cost you badly. Also when warding, you walk directly to a blind bush, if there's an enemy waiting for you it will be rough. I suggest looking up safer warding locations, there's guides on Youtube, e.g. ward over the wall into the corner of the bottom mid bush instead of straight-on, etc. - CS, CS, CS, CS, CS, I know you talk about it a few times but it's waaaaay more important than kills because it's guaranteed gold and equally as important XP (there's a range for this, need to be close enough to the minion dying to get the XP from it). Drill that into your blood-thirsty head! - Map awareness, keep flicking your eyes to the map. Where are my team-mates pinging, do I have vision of the enemy. Particularly the enemy jungler or a fed member of the enemy team. Around 16min mark, you get ganked by Graves but I'm pretty sure your Volibear pinged you to be careful, you then panicked, flashed and proto-belted out when you could've have instead pumped damage into graves with Voli to chase and maybe secure the kill. Graves dead or low, no mid laner, time to get a free objective, ward into enemy jungle, void-grubs/herald, dragon, it depends what's up. - When buying an item, I personally go for the single more expensive item, @17:50 you are asking Chat should you buy Aether Wisp or Blasting wand. I would go blasting wand as it's 850 gold on it's own. Aether Wisp builds out of amp tome (book) which is cheaper. This means if you buy blasting wand right now go out on map and die again you're more likely to have 400 gold to buy a book with. It is situational however, there may be better stats with one option versus the other but that's rare I've found. - Teamfight @ 18:30, you focus trying to kill the poppy instead of the Nasus. You probably wouldn't have killed him either but you need to identify who's the one who does damage in fights. I would've backed off and given up the tower unless I was very very fed (higher level than the Nasus or 1/2 more completed items than him). With Nasus you also need to worry about how many stacks he has. If he has a lot he will smoke you. - Play with your strong side not the weak side, if your jungler is fed, follow him into ganks and the enemy jungle, if your bot laners are winning help them win harder (strong gank into objective afterwards), likewise for top. Try to coordinate with your jungler for the top gank so you can take objective afterwards. - Teamfight @24 mins, when Nasus uses his ultimate, back off until it wears off then you could kill him. You played the fight well, decent zhonyas, good flash to get out and not die. Anyways GG, congrats on the W!
K'Sai is trigering me so hard for some reason xD
With Diana you have to take advantage of her passive. That’s what makes her really strong in lane. You want to AA twice then use shield jump on them with your 3rd ability and AA and Q when they are running away. If you can land your Q before E even better.
Take a shot every time Xaryu pronounces a name wrong. Deadge
true words 1:11 ❤
So fun watching your league journey, I've watched you play wow for god knows how many years now, probably 8, I've also played league since like S3 and have a love hate relationship with the game, don't get too addicted.
kite out the nayses ult, figjt after
Playing is definitively a key thing but 2 things Id highly recommend for you know - is 1. try to look up what the common mid lane champs do, no more ups I didnt know he did that moments. 2. after a game, look at what you learned - about the match up, when were you stronger, what to pay attention to - or about general game things, like what roam timer was successful why did that work out? that way not only do you have some learning notes for the day - you also have notes to look at when you load into the game, you can check up on what you wrote down for this match up and then execute better. also you are not blindly playing but actively thinking about what to do and what not to. Best of luck m8 - loving this positive league grind.
Glad bro is not addicted :)
Queuing is definitely the number one thing to get better at the game. But vod reviewing and watching better players play is also important. Because sometimes you'll not see an issue you have until either someone tells you or you see it in practice. So to get better it's also important to not tunnel vision and just spam games.
Never focus on the minions you miss, only on the ones you’re going to get.
