Gold and rainbow are variants, while mutations are like frozen, celestial, shocked, etc. the butterfly works on fruits with 5+ mutations, so gold doesn’t count as mutations.

Here’s a tip which it will work a way better tan log off and come back: first you have to get the lucky play time (works if you appear in the 3th plot rejoining) then wait till lucky reach 100% (70 minutes), but since the infinite sprinklers bug got patched you have to place sprinklers every time they ran out and you can finally start to taking every small pepper till it grows a big one (it grows a lot bigger applying this)
