I find it freeing and amazing that regardless of upbringing, one can CHOOSE to make opposing choices and be better than those who raised you.
Basically, the person who doesn’t react has the power
This part really helped me see social anxiety in a new light. Understanding that it comes from our ancestors’ fear of being rejected by the tribe makes so much sense back then, being left out could mean life or death. So now, when we feel judged or nervous around others, it’s actually our mind trying to keep us safe, not hurt us. The idea that our inner critic is like a scared child trying to protect us, not our enemy, really touched me. It made me want to be kinder to myself in those moments. Also, the way social media creates this fake feeling of connection while making us feel even more judged explains so much about today’s loneliness. This reflection was powerful and comforting it reminded me that we’re not broken, just human.
I have never seen a successful person who is also a hater.... love this
I’ve learned so much from Chase Hughes. 🥰
I love Chase Hughes, his brain amazes me, wise, wise, wise .
This was one of the best conversations with Chase I seen. Interviewer is way more astute than he thinks he is. Congrats!
This is the best interview I have heard because the interviewer really asks the right questions. He has a curiosity that is based in a lot of experience, it seems. I always love Chase! He is just something very unusual and beautiful!
“There’s something about that guy I don’t like about myself”…is a bar 💯💯💯 GREAT interview THANK U 🙏
I LOVE Chase Hughes!
Thinking that you shouldn’t have done something is not narcissistic, it’s what we’re supposed to do, it’s the beginning of repentance.
Loved this interview. The only thing I disagree with is the upbringing theory. I was abused and raised by a narcissistic mother. She was cruel and intermittently kind. I failed public speaking in high school. I am now a Christian and I overcame my fear of public speaking and I love it. I love people and I am happy in my own skin because I know my creator loves me. Making peace with Christ and knowing God always has your back and loves you is where true freedom is found. God bless you both. Great conversation! 😃
Huge fan of Chase Hughes ☘️
People will tell you everything you need to know!!! I read energy!!
The more I listen to Hughes, the more I like him and his capability to share his knowledge to us. Thanks for the Interview ❤
OMG you've interviewed Chase Hughes! 🤩 Robert Breedlove, the quality of your podcast is unbeatable. I can't believe I have access to this content for a YouTube subscription. Thank you!
It's great to learn that Chase is an introvert. He comes across as having a good heart and unselfish.
Great interview. Finally an interviewer who’s interested in the guest and is trying to understand what he’s saying, instead of talking about himself.
Damn Chase got me on that one point. I am an extreme introvert as well (who has been socialized by my environment) to be extroverted. I always go hide by myself whenever there is a break.
