I'm leaving this comment here so after a month or a year when someone likes it, I get reminded of this song ❤
00:42 I'm glad my boy took a step back at that exact moment. If he didn't. This song might not have existed. Respect
Stopped me from jumping when at my worst. Thanks for existing
1:47 I believe this is what you’re looking for
I think the resurgence of this song has a lot to do with the fact that many of us are now around the same age as Scott was here when this song came out, and we’ve all had life kick our asses to some degree and it just hits us on a whole different level than it did when we were kids
My Dad is in the end stage of heart failure and he asked me to sing this at his funeral today. I'm shattered 💔😭
As it turns out , creed has aged like fine wine . Who would’ve thought ? It’s better now than it was then . We finally matured to understand and grow into the size that creed is musically .
Man growing up I couldn’t stand Creed. Recently survived cancer, and this shit just hits different now! 🤘
Damn....I hadn't heard this song for what seemed like 20 years and then this morning while working at the airport, I hear it in the rental car I was driving back to the wash facility. I made it through first verse before completely losing it and having to compose myself before meeting with my new manager. I lost my Dad in January 7th and this song was like a complete gut punch from out of nowhere. After work, I decided to see if I could make it further that the first verse and nope...I had to stop it again. I love you, Dad. I'll see you again some day.
So glad the internet finally realized how hard this song goes. Creed had some bangers.
All jokes and memes aside, creed is genuinely an incredible band with super deep and thoughtful songs. Definitely an s tier band. I grew up listening to them and didn’t really pay much mind to the lyrics but really loved the sound but as i get older now im realizing the lyrics are super deep and finding them helpful. Especially thinking about becoming a new dad and listening to arms wide open. That song gave me chills so hard as soon as i sat down and really listened and realized what it was about. Its also wild to think that creed has probably spiritually touched more lives than the biggest tv pastors on the planet. Its not overt Christian band but the themes are very much so Christian and if you really listen it can give you a whole sermon.
This song saved my life. Battling addiction. These lyrics going through my head got me through.
1:47 one of the most epic moments of music history
Please come now, I think I'm falling I'm holding on to all I think is safe It seems I found the road to nowhere And I'm trying to escape I yelled back when I heard thunder (thunder) But I'm down to one last breath And with it, let me say, let me say Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking Maybe six feet ain't so far down I'm looking down now that it's over Reflecting on all of my mistakes I thought I found the road to somewhere Somewhere in His grace I cried out, "Heaven, save me" (save me) But I'm down to one last breath And with it, let me say, let me say Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking Maybe six feet ain't so far down Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking Maybe six feet ain't so far down I'm so far down Sad eyes follow me But I still believe there's something left for me So please come stay with me 'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me For you and me, for you and me Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking (thinking) Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking Maybe six feet ain't so far down Hold me now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking Maybe six feet ain't so far down Please come now, I think I'm falling I'm holding on to all I think is safe Fonte: LyricFind Compositores: Mark T. Why everyone hating on Creed? This shit is and still will be one of the best rock bands in the 2000s. This shit seriously isnt bad at all. It's good music. Compared to 2024, this shit is fire.
Found out a buddy of mine passed away this morning and here we are, having a beer with this on full blast. RIP
YOU CAN DO THIS MAN. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND LETS GET IT FUCKING DONE.
I love how Creed starts softly and innocently then goes ballistic later 💣 Scott's vocals Tremonti's excellent guitar 🎸 and Scott Phillips Awesome drums 🥁
I don't care what criticism they got in the past nor do I care about the over usage of green screen effects and the somewhat crappy late 90s Super Nintendo- donkey- kong- country- style 3D CGI Graphics in this video. I'm mesmerized by everything in this and I love it and I always will.
