I like how you showed Odysseus leaning into her for support. After 7 years, his heart still belonged to Penelope, but he didn't spend 7 years brushing her off. It's weird, complicated, and a little rape-y, but she was also the only person to talk to...so, to see him lean on her for support as he is haunted by the past was amazing.

The scene 3:44 where Polites, Eurylochus and Odysseus' mum was circling Odysseus was so heartbreaking and always gives me goosebumps, just absolutely bravo. And I LOVE Calypso's design

YES I've seen calypso being imagined in so many ways but this is exactly how I see her! She's not angry at him, she doesn't show any power she's just calm, walking behind him, knowing she will EVENTUALLY make him love her because she has all the time in the world I love this rendition <3

As someone who has complex PTSD, that part where she is begging him to get away from the ledge, it’s so accurate on how lost he is in his own complex grief and the wonderful voices of loved ones trying to reach us in the middle of that storm inside of us, I cried when I first heard this. What an accurate depiction of grief in a short passage of a song.

Your Calypso is hypnotically beautiful. Her hairstyles (she actually changes her hair with time!! I love that!), her anklets, her twirling...wow. The contrast between the warm colors, her sweet expressions, and how handsy and possessive she is is perfectly sickening. Also, 3:34 where he just melts into her--not because he loves Calypso, but because he's so tired and he just gives up...GAH.

The little interaction at 2:25 when she lets it slip that you can't ever leave the island and Ody realizes just how trapped he is. The little breakdown he gets when he realizes that after everything he went through and everyone he lost, he's now trapped and can't see Penelope, and the abject look of defeat as he lays there and doesn't even stop Calypso from coming in close.

I like how odys hair being so long and messy at the end shows that hes not been taking care of himself and calypso clearly hasnt been loking after him either. All calypso wants is for ody to love her but i dont think she really cares for him. Amazing animatic, I love it!

It breaks my heart seeing OdyS will to live really drop to another low in the time he's trapped there...People really said theyd be lucky to be stuck with her don't realize Ody was SA there for over 7 yrs and stuck with nothing, but his broken heart. Literally helpless against a Goddess AGAIN... Hurts when you know there even more horrors we dont even get to see. THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU

Underrated detail that I love but the bit where he talks about what he sacrificed and you can see the light leave his eyes before he breaks down. Man has been truly been broken down by all this and you captured that perfectly!

Oh my god I love this so much every little detail like how Odyseus just loses any detail to his eyes in that one scene to the fact he's taking so little care of himself that he's got long hair and a beard now is AMAZING

This is so great, the designs are already amazing but Ody’s breakdown scene was done so much justice. How Calypso was holding him and crying, how Ody envisioned Penelope comforted him, and the spinning shot with Polites, Eury and his Mom was just peak. Not to mention Athena tearing up too

This animatic is masterfully done!! Every single character design in every single clock face and scene is so well crafted, the changing colour palettes for every different moment, the expressions of the characters, the scene choices such as the characters spinning around Ody as he breaks down, the little things like Athena breaking everything around her in anger and Calypso's naive yet manipulative nature.. need I go on? This is beautiful Hyacinth!!

I love how desperate and worried Athena is in this. After she basically wrote Odysseus off for having feelings and caring for people it’s so rewarding and heartbreaking to see her arc come full circle to her having a nervous breakdown because of how much she cares about Odysseus.
