I guess you don't realize that the UL30VT isn't a gaming notebook at all. The selling point of this laptop was the portability (less than 4lbs and incredible battery life (Up to 12 hours). The gpu in this laptop may not be in the same tier as the one in a G51x, but it still can play most current games mid-high settings.

...And you missed the point of ultra-portable laptops. 8 hours autonomy, small and light, cool and silent, powerful enough for games. Gaming laptops are just portable desktops, different things.
