Chebukube isoko ya magendo Barasa

This song refers to the coffe boom that hit this hitherto unknown market town between Kenya and Uganda, particularly the black maret hoarding (magendo) in the 1970s. The song became an instant hit that you could hear blaring on every transistor, radio almost only means of broadcasting, with one station VOK (Voice of Kenya), in those days.
