Fischer's King's Indian Attack Crushes Yugoslav Champion

This is a sharp chess game between Bobby Fischer and Yugoslav Champion Borislav Ivkov from the Second Piatigorsky Cup, held in 1966. Against Fischer's King's Indian Attack setup, Ivkov opts for the ...Bd6 and ...Nge7 line, focusing on control of the key e5-square while keeping his pawn structure fluid. When Fischer pushes his f-pawn, Ivkov responds with the direct dxe4, aiming for clarity. But by move 14, his position is already collapsing. Fischer’s pawn on e5 paves the way for a swift kingside attack, and with Ivkov's defenses lacking, Fischer forces resignation in just 29 moves.
