Things I learned:
Tree technique: Minimal outlining with the line color blocking for the trunks and branches with the leaves (2 colors) on "Multiply" layer transparency worked really well.

Sunburst background: This really helped to provide a background that framed the foreground grade. Doing this this way draws your eye through the piece, but also allowed me to not have to really address the foreground grade--which I didn't want to color because I didn't want to add too much detail that wasn't the building.

Color blocking through glass/shading: Color blocking with the shadows made a great combination. I would probably do it more blurred next time (its too sharp for my liking)
