This time, I was taken care of at “Hinoki Bath Inn Bunke” in Iwase Yumoto Onsen, Fukushima Prefecture.
The criteria when I choose a ryokan are as follows.
1) Budget: 18,000 yen per person with 2 meals on weekdays, up to 40,000 yen on days before holidays
2) Reviews: Jalan and Rakuten Travel's average review average of 4.0 or higher (if not, refer to Google, TripAdvisor, etc.)
3) Meals: (preferably) in-room or private dining
4) Hot springs: (preferably) free-flowing hot springs
“Hinoki Bath Inn Bunke-san,” where I stayed this time, cleared all the conditions.
Review evaluation, Jalan 4.9, Rakuten Travel 4.7 (as of September 2022, rounded to the second decimal place)
The 150-year-old inn with a thatched roof is full of charm from the outside. Inside the building, you can see the splendid black beams and pillars, and you can feel the length of its history.
The bath is a private cypress bath that flows directly from the source, so you can enjoy the hot water slowly.
